The Story of Cellar House Farm

Cellar House Farm traces its roots to Colonial America in the heart of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The land, first described as an old Indian field, was patented by settlers in 1665. The colonial manor home was established circa 1730. Its long history includes legends of Native Americans, a tobacco plantation, shipping businesses, smuggling, a secret tunnel, piracy, murder, ghosts, the Underground Railroad, a lumber mill, barrel making, and a turkey farm. Restored and maintained by Jack and Martha Graham, the farm is now open for public events by the Graham family — preserving its natural riverfront setting and historic charm as a unique gathering place for creating new memories.
